A brand new dessert shop opened in Hucknall this afternoon (Wednesday 8 September) at 4pm.

Krispy Krumbles on the High Street offers a wide range of desserts at reasonable prices.

The business is part owned and managed by Muhammad Taha. It is located at number two High Street next door to Peri-Peri Sizzlers which Mr Taha and his partners also own.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News he said: "If you go through every menu in the area we are offering the maximum amount of dessert variety. On the top it is very reasonable pricing. Our aim to do business is not to make maximum money, we want people to buy our food on a daily basis, it's not a one-off thing like you go in the shop and you just treat yourself one off, we want people who treat themselves on a daily basis that is our aim in Hucknall."

As well as offering deliveries and collections the premises has a seating area so that people can dine in.

Muhammad Shafiq is assisting Mr Taha in getting the business off the ground and has considerable experience in the dessert industry having helped start a number of businesses in Derby.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News he said: "The main reason why we've opened up is if you have a look at any other dessert shop around the area what it is they've done minimum desserts but here we do unique desserts.

"You've got your milk cakes we're going to do churros, we're going to do doughnuts as well; we've got your normal stuff like your waffles, your crepes, your cookie doughs, plus your milkshakes we're also offering sundaes.

"We've also got seating for up to about 20 people, so also we are doing deliveries, collections, and we're also available on Just Eat, we've also got our own website as well so you can order direct from there deliveries and collections.

"What I prefer for the Hucknall community or anyone in Nottingham is come try us and eat in, it's something different, bring your family, bring your kids a bit of entertainment for yourself taking the family out, it'll be great for Hucknall. We are completely unique desserts, come try us."

Mr Taha describes milk cakes as "something new to Hucknall."

He added: "We are offering cakes with milk; the milk is the secret recipe of ours. People need to find milk cake; they're going to love it especially in the evening time."

The shop will be open from 4pm until 10pm on weekdays, starting today, and from 12pm until 10pm at weekends.
