There is just one week left of the overdue charges amnesty being operated by Inspire Libraries.

Inspire run all of Nottinghamshire County Council's libraries including Hucknall Library.

This latest initiative was introduced due to the challenging circumstances of the last year with the Coronavirus pandemic and resultant lockdowns meaning that overdue library books may well have been far from the forefront of people's thoughts.

Therefore, if any overdue library books or other library items that were borrowed before April 1st this year, are returned to Hucknall library before the end of June, any charges will be waived. New library cards can also be issued if existing ones have been lost.

If borrowed library books can't be located, let the library know before the end of June and they will be removed from your record. If they do eventually turn up though, the libraries would like them back but there will still be no charge.

However, any items returned late after 1st July 2021 will incur overdue charges.

Hucknall Library reopened on Monday following essential maintenance work, and like the other Inspire libraries across the County, is Covid-secure.

Hucknall Library is open from 9:30am-4:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 9:30am-12:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
