Police in Hucknall seized another uninsured and untaxed vehicle yesterday (Wednesday 26 January).

A post on Ashfield Police's Facebook page read: "…during patrol, one of the PCSO'S [sic] off Hucknall Beat Team came across a vehicle on Arden Close, Hucknall.

"After checks the vehicle was found to have no tax, have no registered keeper and was uninsured. The vehicle was subsequently seized."

Pictures that accompanied the post showed the offending vehicle, a Skoda, on the back of a lorry about to be driven away from the scene after the seizure of the vehicle.

This isn't the first time that police have seized an untaxed vehicle in Hucknall this month. There have been at least two other instances that the police have publicised since the turn of the year, and it is clearly something the police are looking to crackdown on.

According to Autocar, in November last year, UK Government figures revealed one in 50 cars are untaxed.
