One man has been arrested for road traffic offences and three off-road motorcycles were seized as police launched a joint operation to crackdown on antisocial and the illegal riding of off-road motorcycles .

.

Nottinghamshire Police's off-road team along with the drone team, neighbourhood policing officers from Hucknall and Bulwell, and Operational Support were out patrolling the areas of Hucknall and Bulwell yesterday.

Some of the areas covered included The Old Rolls Royce Aerodrome Site and Annesley Cutting. It was here that the 3 vehicles were seized for no insurance whilst being ridden on a footpath and the individual was arrested.

These operations are being undertaken due to reports of the illegal use of off-road motorcycles and the dangerous manner in which the vehicles are being used.

The operations will continue going forward and the police are encouraging anyone with information about these issues to contact them on [email protected].

Anyone wishing for advice on tracks available to take their off road bikes to and ride lawfully can obtain details of all tracks within an hour of Nottinghamshire from Nottinghamshire Police's website .
