Police seize drugs and weapons following search of wasteland in Hucknall

Police found and seized a number of items including drugs and weapons after a search on a piece of wasteland in Hucknall earlier this week.

Hucknall Beat Team followed up the arrest of a male for possession with intent supply class A drugs on Cheyne Walk last week with high visibility patrols in the surrounding area.

A statement on Ashfield Police's Facebook page read: "During the patrols officers have searched the wasteland area looking for drugs and items that could be used as weapons.

"This search resulted in a baseball bat being recovered from the wasteland. Located nearby this area a further amount of suspected class A drugs (were) recovered along with a large amount of coins and skincare products, razor blades, candles and plug sockets which are believed to be stolen.

"Items will be submitted for forensic testing to establish the identity of potential suspects."
