Hucknall residents can receive free safety advice in the community from local firefighters today (Saturday 4 February).

The move comes following a house fire in Charles Street on Thursday (2 February) evening; thankfully no one was injured.

With some members of the community likely to be a little on edge following the blaze, some of the firefighters from Hucknall Fire Station will be in the area to reassure people by giving fire safety tips and helping practically too by checking smoke alarms for example.

An update on Hucknall Fire Station's official Facebook page, posted last night (Friday 3 February), read: "Following a fire on Charles Street Hucknall, our local Firefighters will be in the area tomorrow (Saturday) to reassure people and give out free fire safety advice, check smoke alarms and Free Home safety checks."
