Two fire crews were called to tackle a blaze in an area at the foot of the Misk Hills in Hucknall, known locally as 'the rocks.'

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed to Hucknall Nub News that firefighters from Hucknall and Arnold Fire Stations were called to a fire on Common Lane at 5:03 this evening (Thursday 2 September).

Smoke was seen billowing across the town's skyline and there was much speculation as to the cause, however, this is yet to be confirmed.
