Traffic

There are roadworks on Papplewick Lane which may add time to your journey.

The M1 is clear at Junction 27 with traffic flowing nicely.

In case you missed it:

A fire broke out on the industrial estate on Wigwam Lane leading to thick black smoke billowing across Hucknall for much of the afternoon. Approximately 70 firefighters were deployed to bring the blaze under control.

Fun fact of the day:

The "Windy City" name has nothing to do with Chicago weather. Chicago's nickname was coined by 19th-century journalists who were referring to the fact that its residents were "windbags" and "full of hot air."
