A local site manager has won a building award for the third consecutive year for the quality of the houses on Sherwood Gate, a housing estate on the fringes of Hucknall. A Hucknall fundraising group and local business have joined forces to put on a Santa's grotto and Christmas village to raise money for the community. Fun fact of the day:"Happy Birthday" was the first song ever played on Mars. Mars Rover Curiosity played the song to itself on its first anniversary on the planet.
