12th Aug 2021 | Local News

As a continuation of our partnership with The Arc Cinema in Hucknall, here is all the information on when to catch the latest films this coming week.

The big new film released this Friday is Ryan Reynolds' latest action comedy 'Free Guy' which he's been on the TV & Radio a lot this week promoting. Reynolds plays a bank teller called Guy who realises he is a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline. The film also stars Taika Waititi and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve). The release date has been a casualty of the pandemic; pushed back three times from its original release date in July 2020.

Next Wednesday there are previews of GI: Joe spin-off 'SNAKE EYES' which stars British actor Henry Golding (The Gentleman, Last Christmas) as a lone fighter with a mysterious past, known only as "Snake Eyes," who is recruited into a secretive clan. The events of the film portray the character prior to becoming the heroic masked agent of the G.I. Joe organization.

Also, there will be showings of André Rieu's 2021 Summer Concert: Together Again which is only in cinemas. The King of the Waltz has handpicked his all-time favourite show tunes, operatic arias, and dance numbers from stages around the world - featuring many performances never seen before on the big screen. André brings together performers from all over the world in one global spectacular to make you smile, sing and dance. Featuring performances from São Paulo, Mainau, Bucharest, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Melbourne and Istanbul. André Rieu invites you to come together again with friends, family and loved ones for a heart-warming concert. Together Again - Join the celebration on August 28th & 29th!
