Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. An evening of Soul and Motown music, Hucknall Constitutional Club, Portland Road.

On Friday evening (18 February) get your dancing shoes on and boogie the night away to classic Soul and Motown hits. Doors open at 7pm and non-members are also welcome to attend the evening.

1. Dealing with Stress Workshop, South Street.

An interactive workshop on how to spot the signs of and deal with stress in yourself and others. The event will be held on Saturday morning (19 February).

1. Chalk, Robin Hood Theatre Group, Papplewick and Linby Village Hall.

Acclaimed local Christian writer and performer Simon Carter charters a poignant journey through dementia in a "sympathetic and sensitive way". The play begins at 7:30pm on Saturday (19 February). Tickets are £10 if booked in advance.
