Here are our top event picks for the coming days:
1. Funhouse Comedy Club at The Griffins Head, Papplewick.
Jonny Awsum, who appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2017, headlines a fun filled night of comedy in Papplewick on Thursday evening (12 May). Tickets are priced at £10 each if bought in advance. Doors open at 7pm, the show begins at 8pm.
2. Building Connections, family Lego and building club at Central Methodist Church, Baker Street, Hucknall.
On Saturday afternoon (14 May) from 2-3:30, families are invited to this interactive group which encourages creativity and exploration with Legom Knex, Blox, Stickle Bricks and much more.
3. Bowls' Big Weekend, Titchfield Park Bowls Club, Hucknall.
Titchfield Park Bowls Club invites locals to come along anytime between 11am and 4pm on Saturday (14 May) to see what is so addictive about the sport. All people will need are trainers or similar flat shoes and it's free!
