Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1.     Hucknall Pride at multiple venues across the town

From Friday (26 August) to Sunday (28 August), multiple venues across Hucknall are hosting events such as a disco, cake sale, and drag extravaganza as the town celebrates its very first Pride event.

2.     Live music at Griffins Head, Moor Road, Papplewick.

Musician Lee Gough performs a selection of his own music as well as classic covers from the likes of Oasis, Coldplay, The Beatles and Amy Winehouse live. The event takes place on Saturday night (27 August) from 8:00pm.

3.     Ashfield Day, Sutton Lawn.

From 12pm until 8pm on Saturday (27 August) in celebration of the inaugural Ashfield Day, the District Council has organised a free family fun day on Sutton Lawn. Whilst it isn't quite in Hucknall the day is designed for everyone from the district to celebrate Ashfield.
