Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1.     Live music, Hucknall Liberal Club, West Street.

On Friday night (6 January), Benjamin Ridley takes to the stage and Danny Herrod will be performing on Saturday night (7 January).

2.     Newstead Soul Club, The Newstead Centre.

On Saturday evening (7 January) just outside Hucknall at The Newstead Centre there is a meeting of the Newstead Soul Club where the DJs will play a setlist comprised of Northern soul and Motown oldies.

3.     All Age Worship, St Mary's, Marketplace, Hucknall.

On Sunday morning (8 January) at 11am there is a service of praise for all the family at the Parish church.
