Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday 7 April

Walk of Witness, Church of St Mary Magdalene, Marketplace, Hucknall.

Annual Good Friday service held at St Mary's by churches together, followed by silent walk behind the cross through the pedestrianised part of the high street. All are welcome.

Craft fair and Easter egg hunt, The Half Moon, South Street, Hucknall.

There's fun for all the family with a children's Easter egg hunt and stalls selling handmade items, sweets, and more.

Sunday 9 April/Monday 10 April

Model Submarine and Spring Fair Steam Event, Papplewick Pumping Station, Rigg Lane, Ravenshead.

Papplewick's opening steam event of the season featuring a marquee full of craft stalls and a display and demonstration of model R/C submarines in the Cooling Pond. Plus, all engines in steam and tours of the underground reservoir available (additional fees apply). All full price admission tickets to the event (whether bought online or at the gate) include a 12-month annual pass - come to all our subsequent steam events free of charge! Under 12s go free.

Monday 10 April

Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Charity's Open Day, Portland Road, Hucknall.

Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Charity are throwing their doors open from 10am to 4pm for FREE. Lots of fun activities for the children and the opportunity to enjoy a bus ride too. Their model railway will be running. There's a new selection of books and models available too. Great homemade cakes and catering to enjoy.
