Hucknall racer Ruben Hage to step up to Ginetta GT Championship with Breakell Racing in 2023

Hucknall racing driver Ruben Hage will compete in the inaugural Ginetta GT Championship in 2023.

The 17-year old's plans for the forthcoming season were confirmed earlier today (Monday 13 February).

Ruben will step up from the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, where he made his senior circuit debut last year and impressed by securing a sixth place finish in the championship which included a podium at Donington Park.

He has signed for Breakell Racing where he will race the new 310 bhp V6 G56 GT Pro model for the upcoming 2023 season.

Ruben Hage, said: "I'm hugely excited to be stepping into a new challenge as I make my Ginetta GT Championship debut in a brand new car with Breakell Racing. 2022 was an exciting learning curve and I was delighted to secure sixth place amongst such a competitive grid. I'm looking forward to building on the success from last year with my partners and the Breakell Racing team beside me." 

The Lancashire based Breakell Racing squad, headed up by Company Director and Founder James Breakell, have an impressive 20 years of experience in competing, preparing, and running race cars in various championships in the UK and across Europe.

James Breakell said: "We are really excited to welcome Ruben onto the team. He's a talented driver that has shown great promise in previous events and we have been watching his progress through Motorsport for the last couple of seasons. We are excited to help Ruben with more racing success throughout 2023. It's going to be a very exciting season for our team and all drivers."
