Hucknall Town manager Andy Ingle has called for his side to 'finish the job' ahead of their Uhlsport United Counties Division One playoff final against Birstall United on Saturday (29 April).

The Yellows, who finished fourth in the regular season, travelled to Lincolnshire last Saturday (22 April), to face Bourne Town in the playoff semi-finals.

After a hard-fought contest, the sides could not be separated after 90 minutes with the scores tied at 1-1, and a penalty shoot-out ensued.

Louis Kinnerley produced two superb penalty saves to send Hucknall into the final and move them just 90 minutes away from promotion.

Now, just a couple of days before the crunch match, which will be played at Birstall's Meadow Lane ground, Ingle has called for focus.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "Now we must turn our attention to the next one on Saturday, be totally focused and on the here and now. Last weekend, whilst fantastic, is now over. With two training sessions this week, Tuesday to run the legs through their paces and tonight's session which will include a brief on the task in hand, both individually, collectively, and also some work on our overall game plan.

"All the staff and the squad are in a confident mood and looking forward to the game. We know what's expected and if we are to win the game we will have to give our all and give everything on the pitch and hopefully that will be enough. Myself, the staff and players will be looking forward again to the fans' fantastic support on what we hope can cap off and make a memorable season. We have come such a long way since last May. Let's finish the job".
