Hucknall Town have confirmed the signing of striker Jack Thatcher from Eastwood CFC.

Thatcher who boasts a record of 13 goals in 18 appearances for Eastwood, has gone straight into the Yellows' squad for tonight's trip to Birstall United.

Speaking to Hucknall Town's official website, the former Blidworth man said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Hucknall Town, especially at the start of this new era and I am looking forward to playing at the fantastic new stadium in the coming weeks".

Manager Andy Ingle was equally excited at the prospects for his new striker.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "He has a good goal scoring record, 13 in 18 is impressive. We are glad to get this over the line and we have high hopes and are confident that Jack will be an excellent addition to the squad".

Tonight's game against fifth place Birstall which will be played at Meadow Lane kicks off at 7.45pm.
