Hucknall Town Football Club's brand-new, purpose-built stadium will be officially opened next Thursday (8 December).

The club is hosting an opening party at their new home, The RM Stadium, which is located on Aerial Way in Hucknall, just across the road from their former home Watnall Road.

The RM Stadium boasts two excellent pitches to facilitate the first team, reserves, and Sunday team as well as their numerous youth teams.

The celebratory event marks a 15 year wait for the club to move grounds and is free to attend.

Doors will open at 7pm on Thursday evening and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments will be on tap in the brand-new clubhouse. There will also be an opportunity to get a first look at the new stadium and pitch.

As previously reported, Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough will preside over the official opening ceremony. He will also give a short talk and take questions from the floor.

The first team will then play their opening fixture at the ground two days later on Saturday 10 December, when they take on Blackstones in the Uhlsport United Counties League Division One, in a game which will kick off at 3pm.
