Hucknall not included in route of this year's Nottinghamshire stage of Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain will not take in Hucknall when the event returns to Nottinghamshire in September.

Some of the world's top cyclists will race through the county on Thursday, September 8, when it hosts the fifth stage of the event.

Officers are appealing for information after a teenager was allegedly knocked off his electric scooter by a car, near Hucknall.

Police were called to Bestwood Park Drive West, in Rise Park, after receiving reports that a 15-year-old boy had been hit while on a zebra crossing.

Driver who fled Hucknall Road crash scene jailed after being identified by blood sample

A driver who ran away after a crash that left two people in hospital was identified by blood and skin he left at the scene.

Dean Beeching, 31, drove through a red light and ploughed straight into the side of a taxi on one of the main roads between Hucknall and Nottingham city centre. He was then seen walking away from the scene.

Hucknall Town's play-off hopes dented following heavy defeat at Aylestone Park

Hucknall Town suffered a setback in their bid to finish in the play-off places in the Uhlsport United Counties League after suffering a humbling 6-1 defeat away at Aylestone Park on Saturday (2 April).

The hosts made an electric start with Aaron Preston netting twice in the first two minutes. His opener came after just 15 seconds when Besongbap Beck-Ray teed him up to tap the Park into an exceptionally early lead.

Police appealing for witnesses after Watnall collision leaves man with life threatening injuries

Detectives are seeking the public's help as they continue with their investigations after reports of a collision that left one man fighting for his life.

Officers were called to the incident involving a car and a man, in Main Road, Watnall, just a couple of miles outside of Hucknall, at around 10.07pm yesterday (Friday 1 April 2022).
