We are looking for a semi senior accountant / bookkeeper for a friendly, local and highly successful busy Accountancy Practice - offering flexible working patterns and great environments with the opportunity to progress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client bookkeeping - including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations. The Role of semi senior accountant / bookkeeper

• Supporting a variety of clients from sole traders to limited companies and partnerships with general bookkeeping
• VAT Preparation and submittal
• CIS Preparation and submittal
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
• Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month
• General administrative duties around the office, responding to emails and answering the phone

Skills and Experience required for the role of Practice Accountant -

• At least 2 years of experience working in accounting , or a related field is expected
• AAT Level Qualified and ideally studying towards ACCA or similar qualification
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Experience of CIS and VAT Preparation
• Possessing great communication skills both written and spoken
• Willing to work in an office full time
