An experienced Lead Buyer required to join an established manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire. As Lead Buyer you will develop and pursue purchasing opportunities & negotiate contracts.

Duties of a Lead Buyer:

• Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
• Analyse industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
• To positively impact the company's KPI's with particular focus on EBIT.
• To establish and support long term supplier relationships to maximise supply chain effectiveness.

Key Skills:

• Strong Team player.
• Good knowledge of all MS office applications, specifically excel to an advanced level.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Confident and well organised.
• Proactive and able to multitask.
• Drive and determination to succeed.
• Strong and confident communication and customer liaison skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills, methodical worker with high level attention to details.
