My client is a SME manufacturing business based in Hucknall. They have a small and extremely friendly and supportive finance team of 4.

Description

You will be trained and supported by the ACCA qualified Financial Controller. Your role will be extremely varied, as will include supporting with management accounts preparation along with detailed financial reporting and analysis, expanding and implementing reporting and KPIs across the business, and setting up new reporting and analysis processes. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Supporting management accounts with reconciliations and variance analysis
• Liaising with departmental heads to produce weekly KPIs across the business
• Product profitability reporting
• Manufacturing capacity reporting
• Financial reconciliations
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Assisting with business cases
• Assisting with budget reviews with departmental heads
• Assisting with annual audit preparation
• Sales ledger & purchase ledger cover during holidays
• Ad hoc reporting / project work

Profile

To apply for the position, you do not need experience of all the above duties, as this is a training opportunity and your role will progress. However, you:

• Must have some experience of working in management accounts or financial analysis.
• Must have strong excel skills e.g. must be able to perform v look ups and pivot tables, as a minimum.
• Will have excellent oral communication skills.
• Will ideally be studying an accounting qualification e.g. AAT, CIMA or ACCA.
