We are supporting a company that is on the hunt for a motivated Buyer to join its vibrant procurement division. This role is designed for someone who is eager to dive into the realms of transactional procurement, supply chain operations, and play a part in a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting procurement activities, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

This is a great opportunity for an existing junior or established buyer lookng for a secure progression route.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing transactional procurement tasks, including purchase order creation, invoice reconciliation, and the timely acquisition of materials and services.
• Engage with suppliers to obtain product and pricing information, track orders, and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct market research under supervision to identify potential suppliers and innovative products that align with the company's strategic goals.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and databases to support decision-making and compliance with company policies.
• Work closely with the procurement team and other departments to support procurement strategies and contribute to team objectives.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes and enhancing supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

• Relevant professional qualifications with degree or CIPS Level 3 desirable
• Up to 2 years of experience in a buying or procurement role preferred, but fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of procurement principles and supply chain dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
• A keen interest in developing a career in procurement and supply chain management.
