This week's event of the week is Oceans Day Nursery Open Day which is on Saturday 25 September. It starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm, people can drop in at any point between those times to the nursery which is on Spring Street.

The day will provide an opportunity for parents to have a look around the nursery and view its facilities.

There will also be cake stalls, face painting, tombola, games and activities for children to enjoy.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, Nursery Manager, Charly Manley said: "The open day is a chance for people to see the nursery get and a feel for the kind of the different activities that we do, what we've got to offer. They can get a little more information about our prices. We are pretty flexible with sessions and things like that so again it just kind of offers that little bit of flexibility for parents that perhaps other nurseries don't offer. They can get all that information from us and obviously bring their little one to come and have a look and a play."

"If the parents don't work in the childcare sector, they don't always know what to expect and sometimes when they have that one-to-one show round, perhaps they don't always know the right questions to ask. We found doing an open day is a lot more relaxed, there are staff on hand if they want to ask any questions, they can see the nursery set up in full so they can see what we've got to offer and get that information before they make a decision."

As well as this, the nursery is offering free registration and 10% off the first month's fees to anyone who registers with them on the day.
