1) Ashfield District Council has submitted an £11m investment bid to revitalise Hucknall town centre.

2) A Hucknall boxing club was delighted to receive a £500 council grant that will help them to carry on providing sessions to children and teenagers in the local community.

3) Hucknall Town suffered their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 3-2 by Dunkirk at Watnall Road on Wednesday (10 August).

4) A defibrillator missing from Hucknall's Titchfield Park has been successfully located.

5) Severn Trent Water has confirmed that they are monitoring the situation regarding a potential hosepipe ban for Hucknall and surrounding areas following the recent spell of hot, dry weather.
