There was disruption to train services in Hucknall for the second consecutive Monday as thieves once again stole signalling cables on the Worksop-Nottingham line.

Network Rail reported that the cables near Nottingham station had been stolen. This meant disruption to early morning services into and out of Hucknall station.

However, East Midlands Railway were able to quickly rectify the problem, and after tests, normal service resumed at 7:02.

Last Monday, as reported by Nub News , signalling cables were stolen from Radford Junction which meant that there weren't any train services in or out of Hucknall station for the majority of the morning.
