Hucknall Town Football Club has confirmed that their new ground will be officially opened on Thursday 8 December.

As previously announced, Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough will preside over the ceremonial opening.

The Yellows left Watnall Road, their home of 79 years, last month.

They will move into a new purpose-built ground, the RM Stadium, which is located on Aerial Way, just across the road from their old home.

In the meantime, they are in the process of playing a run of six straight away games in the league to avoid a fixture backlog.

A statement on the club's official website, read: "We are delighted to announce that Mansfield Town FC Manager Nigel Clough will officially open our new facilities on Thursday 8th December 2022.

"The evening will commence at 7pm and full details of the evening's events will follow soon."
