Hucknall Town frustrated again after being held to goalless draw by Rainworth Miners Welfare
Hucknall Town's recent run of patchy form continued on Saturday (18 February) as they were held to a goalless draw by Rainworth Miners Welfare at The RM Stadium.
Craig Westcarr went closest for the hosts heading the ball against the crossbar just after the hour mark but despite creating the better chances Hucknall weren't clinical enough in front of goal and were forced to settle for a point.
It was the fourth time in the last six league matches that The Yellows have dropped points.
The result saw Hucknall remain fourth in the Uhlsport United Counties Division One table, however they lost further ground to the top three as they all recorded victories at the weekend.
Speaking to the football club's official website, manager Andy Ingle said: "We have been far too inconsistent in overall play in the last four games and it's something we are all aware of.
"We have to play to our strengths and recognise opportunities in key moments of the game. We have the resilience to cope under pressure, but we have to balance it well with confidence to transition back to playing on the front foot."
Hucknall return to action on Wednesday night (22 February) when they travel to Lincolnshire to play Blackstones.
