Hucknall Town returned to winning ways with a comprehensive 6-0 home victory over Grantham Town last night (Wednesday 15 February).

The Yellows had suffered their first ever defeat at The RM Stadium on Saturday (11 February) against high flying Newark Town, but they responded well by dismantling the league's bottom club in front of a thrilled, partisan crowd.

Goals from Joe Ashurst and new signing Brad Lathall gave Hucknall a comfortable cushion at half time. Then, second-half goals from Sam Sims, Lathall again, Craig Westcarr and substitute Aaron Lamb capped off a comfortable evening for the hosts.

The win lifts them up to fourth place in the Uhlsport United Counties League Division One table, just four points adrift of second place Bourne Town with a game in hand.

Hucknall are back in action on Saturday (18 February), again at home, when they welcome Rainworth Miners Welfare to their new ground.
