Hucknall Town's latest league match has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The Yellows had been set to take on Grantham Town tonight (Wednesday 18 January) in an Uhlsport United Counties Division One clash at The RM Stadium.

However, due to the weather conditions and forecast, the decision was taken yesterday to call the match off, to give the opposition plenty of notice, given the near 70-mile round trip they would need to embark upon to fulfil the fixture.

On their official website, Hucknall Town released a statement saying: "A pitch inspection took place at the RM stadium this afternoon ahead of the planned match tomorrow.

"Given the pitch is currently frozen and taking into account overnight temperatures and tomorrow's forecast, the match has been postponed."

The fixture will be rearranged shortly, and once the new date has been confirmed by the league Hucknall Nub News will let our readers know when they can take in the action.
