There was more frustration this weekend for Hucknall Town as they were denied an opportunity to christen their new playing service for a second consecutive week.

Their home game against Bourne Town was due to take place on Saturday (17 December) but the game was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The decision was made on Friday night (16 December), in part to give their Lincolnshire based opponents plenty of notice.

The club released the following statement on their website on Friday: "Tomorrow's match is postponed. With parts of the pitch still frozen and temperatures set to plummet this evening the match is unfortunately off."

This was similar to the weekend before when a frozen pitch caused their fixture with Blackstones to also be postponed.

The Yellows left Watnall Road, their home of 79 years earlier this season, and after playing a series of away games, officially opened their new ground, The RM Stadium on Aerial Way earlier this month, with Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough doing the honours.

The first team will now have to wait until Saturday 7 January to play their first competitive fixture at the ground when they welcome Harrowby United.
