The Arc Cinema has renewed its sponsorship deal with Hucknall Town to once again be the first team's shirt sponsors.

This will be the third season that The Arc will be involved with the football club having originally stepped in at the last minute ahead of the 2020/21 season when JTF, who had sponsored the club previously, ran into financial difficulty.

However, it was to be a brief start to their partnership as Coronavirus restrictions saw the season scrapped with the side only playing a handful of league games.

The sponsorship was carried over to the next season, which has just concluded, and saw The Yellows finish a creditable fifth in the Uhlsport United Counties Division One. They would ultimately miss out on promotion following defeat in the semi-finals at the hands of AFC Hinckley.

Mark Gallagher, the manager of Hucknall Arc Cinema, was delighted at the continuation of the commercial partnership.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, he said: "I know how well followed they are, they had a cracking season, they did really well (to make) the play-offs, following all the other Nottinghamshire clubs, following suit.

"Obviously what trumps all that is the fact that their stadium move is finally happening, and this is the season. I feel they're going to get a lot of publicity and it's going to be a lot of goodwill in the town around Hucknall Town and the opportunity to get involved in that was an absolute no brainer.

"They're a big club, they've done really well in the past. You drive round Hucknall they've got all the brown tourist signs Hucknall Town, it's everywhere, so you can't live in Hucknall and not be aware of them, whether you got to games or not is a different question.

"And at the end of the day it's entertainment and that's what we do so the idea is that if you're willing to go and watch a game, if you're interested in football, you might be interested in films. We've shown some of the football here before, we sponsor a couple of youth teams, we've done some charity fundraising for Hucknall Sports. I think the two go hand in hand, I'm a big film fan, I'm a big football fan there must be more like me so that's who we're trying to appeal to."

Bob Scotney, Chairman of Hucknall Town, was equally pleased with the deal. Speaking to the football club's official website, he said: "We are absolutely delighted to continue to work with Arc, they have become a very integral part of the community since opening, and we thank them for their continued support."

Adult shirts are priced at £25, whilst children's shirts are priced at £20. Fans can secure their shirt in the first batch being made available for sale by calling the club on 07572473037 before Thursday 30 June.

The season begins in August, with the club's move to its new ground on Aerial Way scheduled to take place in September.

As well as sponsoring Hucknall Town, the Arc Cinema, Hucknall is the exclusive sponsor of Hucknall Nub News' What's On section. Without community-minded partners like them we would not be able to produce dedicated, clickbait-free news to the people of Hucknall.
